Two special Ramen noodle restaurants in Yugawara

Visiting Mt. Fuji, Izu, Hakone, or Atami area?  If you are in that area, why not try one of the two very special RAMEN noodle restaurants in Yugawara.  IIDA SHOTEN and NIKORI.

Where is Yugawara?  It is famous for its natural hot springs and Japanese tradional inns or ryokans.  You can visit by using the train, though having a car is so much more convenient for visiting the whole area of Hakone and Izu.

If you are in the area, then why not try one of the two ramen restaurants?

  1. Iida Shoten (please refer to the introduction here for more:Mt. Fuji up close from Mishima skywalk @ http://hiddenjapanguide.com/archives/428

Famous for the delicious soup broth and noodles.  Everything is hand made.  The atmosphere of the ramen shop is that of a clean Japanese restaurant.  You will have to wait a bit to get in, but it moves fast, as usually it does not take a long time to eat ramen.

    1. Nikori is also perated by Iida Shoten, as their second brand.  The concept is different, though, as this is more of a traditional ramen shop.  Iida Shoten is more of a refined Japanese ramen, while this one will remind the Japanese of an old ramen shop in one`s local neighorhood.  Everything here is hand made as well, but the soup is more salty and strong.  Here is the tabelog gourment site for more information  https://tabelog.com/en/kanagawa/A1410/A141002/14051010/
