Fruit speciality cafe and restaurant in Yotsuya- Fukunaga
Try their seasonal fruit parfait, full of ripe fresh fruit, with hand made sorbet and ice cream
In the Yotsuya article (http://hiddenjapanguide.com/archives/317), I have introduced FUKUNAGA, a fruit speciality cafe, hidden away between Yotsuya JR station and Yotsuya 3-chome metro station.
This mango sorbet was the best so far, as you can really tell they are using ripe mangos to make this.
What is special about this place? It is run by a fruit shop, which is on the 1F of the building. This cafe is on the 2F.
Depending on the month/season, they have a speciality fruit parfait, using the best fruits available. You should go for that, first and foremost. But, if there is room, then try the fruit sandwich. They use fluffy Japanese white bread, fresh cream and seasonable fruits. Very delicious!
This set (half portion, fruit sandwich, with your choice of tea/coffee/fresh juice) is Y600.
The interior is very old fashioned. Not glamorous, like the Ginza fruit parlours. But, the quality is very high and price is much cheaper.
There is a twitter account with updates, but it is only in Japanese. Try the gourmet site, Tabelog for more in English.
