Sculpture in the garden.

If you are shopping in OMOTESANDO, why not spend an hour or so in these two museums?

3 Special, quiet place for you- Fukui Prefecture`s shop and restaurant in Omotesando, hidden away.

Where is Fukui Prefecture?

Fukui Prefecture is right below Ishikawa Prefecture (with Kanazawa as its very popular city) and also adjacent to Kyoto.  Yet, it is not very easily accessible vs these two famous prefectures.  However, it is full of interesting spots (like Eiheiji, a famous temple, dinosaur museum as they were found there) and great food and speciality.

In Tokyo, there are many so-called antennae shops of many prefectures, where they showcase their specialities in shops and restaurants.  This is the one for Fukui.

In the shop called FUKUI MINAMI AOYAMA 291, there are many interesting sake, food, origami paper, lacquared chop sticks, etc. all from Fukui.

In the restaurant next door, Fukui Bouyourou, is run by the 100 years+ old Japanese ryokan/hotel in Fukui and uses Fukui`s produce and speciality in a unique setting.  Visit the restaurant site for more information at Tabelog here: https://tabelog.com/en/tokyo/A1306/A130602/13144097/

Their beautiful and original official homepage is here, but only available in Japanese..:  https://www.aoyama-bouyourou.com/aboutus.html

The crab meat and miso gratin was really delicious!  (Fukui is famous for the crabs from the Sea of Japan)
